Privacy Policy

Presence Bell is an indie app — built by one person with a background in psychology who genuinely cares about your practice. I believe technology should support your wellbeing, not exploit it. Your meditation practice is sacred — a space where you're vulnerable, growing, and healing. I would never compromise that trust by tracking you, selling your data, or showing you ads. This isn't just policy — it's a promise.
The short version
Your meditation settings, session history, and streaks stay on your device. I don't receive that practice data. Optional purchases, website waitlist signups, and support emails involve the services described below. No ads or behavior tracking, and I never sell your data.
What stays on your device
Everything about your practice lives locally on your iPhone or iPad:
- Your meditation timer settings and saved presets
- Session history, statistics, and streaks
- Reminder preferences and theme choices
- Widget data (shared securely within the app)
This data never leaves your device unless you back it up through iCloud (which Apple encrypts).
If you subscribe
When you purchase a subscription or lifetime access, Apple processes the payment. We use RevenueCat to sync your purchase status across devices. This means:
- We receive confirmation that you have premium access
- We never see your credit card, Apple ID password, or billing address
- Your subscription syncs automatically if you get a new device
If you join the Apple Watch waitlist
The waitlist on this website is separate from the app. If you sign up, the email address you enter is delivered to me through Web3Forms, a form service. I use it only to tell you about the Apple Watch app, and I never sell it. Web3Forms processes your submission and technical request information to deliver it and prevent spam; see the Web3Forms privacy policy. To leave the waitlist or request deletion, email care.presencebell@gmail.com.
If you contact support
If you email care.presencebell@gmail.com, I receive your email address and the message you send through Gmail so I can respond. Please don't include payment details or other sensitive information in your message.
What I refuse to do
These aren't just policies — they're principles I care deeply about:
- No ads — ever. Your practice deserves peace, not interruptions.
- No behavior tracking. I don't monitor your meditation sessions. Your journey is yours.
- No selling your data. Service providers help process purchases, waitlist signups, and support email as described above.
- No account required. Just download and practice. That's it.
Deleting your data
Your data, your choice. Delete the app and all local data goes with it. If you want to cancel a subscription, you can do that anytime in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple ID.
Children's privacy
Presence Bell is designed for all ages, but we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app works without creating an account or providing any personal details.
Changes to this policy
If anything changes, we'll update this page with a new effective date. For significant changes, we may also notify you through the app.
